Holistic Learning in Action - Culinary and Hospitality Workshop (XII)
In a rapidly evolving world, it is vital for students to explore diverse career opportunities aligned with global trends. With this vision, Queen’s Valley School organized a Culinary and Hospitality Workshop for Grade XII students on 31 October 2025.
The first session, conducted by Ms. Pushpa Joshi introduced students to Hospitality Management as a multifaceted field extending beyond hotels to schools, hospitals, airlines, and other service sectors. She explained various departments—finance, revenue, and HR. Her engaging talk emphasized hospitality as a people-centered profession offering rewarding international careers.
The second session featured Chef Deepak Singh Bhandari accompanied by Prof. (Dr.) Rajender Kumar Yadav, Ms. Chandana Pauli, and a diploma student. Chef Deepak conducted a live baking demonstration of peanut butter cookies, explaining the science behind baking and encouraging students to view it as both an art and a discipline. His interactive approach made the session lively and informative.
Prof. Yadav further guided students on emerging career paths in aviation, design, and related fields, sharing his diverse professional journey and offering personal guidance. The workshop concluded with the delightful tasting of cookies and muffins prepared by the chef.
Overall, the workshop was an enriching and inspiring experience that showcased Queen’s Valley School’s commitment to preparing students for a dynamic future.
