Project OGAAN- Spreading Warmth and Compassion

On October 28, members of the Interact Club of Queen’s Valley School ROTARY DISTRICT 3011 undertook project ‘OGAAN’ and visited the orphanage Children of the World to distribute sweaters to the children residing there. This thoughtful gesture was aimed at ensuring the children were well-prepared for the chilly months ahead, bringing them both warmth and comfort.

The project was meticulously planned, beginning with a share drive held within the school. The campaign received an overwhelmingly positive response, with students and staff contributing generously. These sweaters, carefully sorted and packed, symbolized the love and care of the students who wished to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

The visit was much more than just a charitable act; it was a deeply enriching and humbling experience for the club members. Engaging with the children allowed the members of the Interact Club to foster a genuine connection, breaking barriers of circumstances. The interaction left an indelible mark on the volunteers, reinforcing the value of empathy, compassion, and community service.

This initiative served as a powerful reminder of the importance of giving back to society. Beyond providing immediate relief to the children by shielding them from the cold, the event inspired the Interact Club members to remain steadfast in their commitment to serving those in need.
