FAREWELL CEREMONY 2024-25

On 28 December 2024, in an emotionally surcharged manner, Queen’s Valley School bid farewell to the outgoing students of Class XII. The event was organised by the students of Class XI, who gave their best wishes to their seniors.

The farewell party was celebrated with fervour at the school. It was an occasion for the outgoing students to reminisce about their joyous moments. The auditorium, stage, corridors and classrooms were adorned with handmade flowers, dreamcatchers, graduation caps and decorations keeping in mind the theme for the farewell- ‘The Golden Hour’.

The event commenced with taking blessings from the school Principal, who has always generously imparted her wisdom to her pupils and guided them towards the right path.The theme of the farewell was well depicted through the breath-taking decoration and mesmerising performances. The students enthusiastically participated in various cultural activities like fusion, bhangra and a role play. It was followed by the playing of a video depicting the long and rich journey of the outgoing batch, making the event momentous for all.

Jigesha Chakrbarty XII A was selected as the Ms. Farewell and Manchint Kaur XII D was crowned as Ms. QVS. Finally, titles were distributed which was followed by lunch for all.

Mingled with unforgettable moments and nostalgia, the priceless afternoon came to an end by bidding adieu to the students and wishing them luck for all they set out to do.

    Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav 2024 at Queen's Valley School

    The Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav 2024 at Queen's Valley School, held from December 4 to December 11, celebrated India’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity under the theme "Unity through Languages." The event honoured the legacy of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati, promoting multilingualism and cultural pride.

    A series of engaging activities encouraged students to explore and appreciate various aspects of India's languages and traditions. Students participated in nature walks, linking language with the environment, and explored the role of technology in preserving cultural heritage. Documentary screenings and discussions deepened their understanding of India's diverse cultures, while vibrant performances showcased regional festivals, folk dances, and culinary traditions. Poetry recitations in mother tongues highlighted the importance of language in cultural identity, and inter-lingual exchanges fostered mutual respect among students from different linguistic backgrounds.

    The week-long celebration culminated in a cultural fiesta, where students donned traditional attire representing their native cultures. The event successfully promoted unity in diversity, leaving students with a profound appreciation for the linguistic and cultural tapestry of India.
