A thought-provoking session on ‘Media Literacy - Social Media, Digital Footprints and Human Psychology’ was conducted for class XI on 21 August 2026 by Ms. Surbhi Lal, Psychology Teacher, focusing on the responsible use of social media and its impact on human thoughts, behaviour and well-being. Through engaging discussions and relatable real-life examples, students explored digital footprints, online privacy, misinformation, clickbait, filter bubbles, social comparison and the influence of idealised online content on self-image. The session encouraged students to think critically, verify information before believing or sharing it, protect their privacy and use social media mindfully. The speaker’s engaging and practical approach made the session informative, relevant and meaningful for the students, leaving them with valuable insights into responsible digital behaviour and psychological well-being.
