SALUTE TO THE NATION - Badge Designing (IV)

"A thousand salutes to this great nation of ours."

Queen’s Valley School organized SALUTE TO THE NATION – Badge Designing Competition SDG-16 on 3rd February, 2026. This activity aimed to encourage students to visually represent national values while linking them to global responsibilities, especially Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
Students of 4th class participated enthusiastically in the event. They were asked to design badges that reflected themes such as national unity, peace, justice, equality, rule of law, and strong democratic institutions. The activity provided students with an opportunity to combine artistic skills with social awareness and critical thinking.
The badges showcased a wide range of ideas, including symbols of peace like doves and olive branches, the Indian tricolour, Ashoka Chakra, scales of justice, and slogans promoting harmony, integrity, and responsible citizenship. Many students effectively highlighted the importance of peaceful coexistence, justice for all, and the role of strong institutions in nation-building, thus aligning their designs with SDG 16.
The entries were judged on the basis of creativity, relevance to the theme, clarity of message, and overall presentation. The originality and thoughtfulness reflected in the designs and commended students for understanding and interpreting SDG 16 in a meaningful way.
SALUTE TO THE NATION – Badge Designing Competition was a meaningful and enriching experience. It not only nurtured artistic talent but also helped students understand the importance of peace, justice, and strong institutions in building a responsible and inclusive society.
