Heritage Expressions – Stories before Script, an inter-class tribal art competition, was conducted on 24 April 2026. The event aimed to promote awareness of indigenous cultures and encourage appreciation for traditional art forms. 
Participants created artworks inspired by tribal stories, symbols and cultural motifs. The competition provided a platform for students to explore traditional artistic styles while expressing their creativity and imagination. The artworks reflected a rich blend of cultural understanding and innovative interpretation. 
Students demonstrated enthusiasm and effort in presenting their ideas through intricate designs and meaningful compositions. The event also helped in fostering respect for cultural diversity and heritage. 
The competition was judged on authenticity, creativity, presentation and understanding of the theme. The winners are:

Literary Lounge, a Book Talk event, was successfully conducted on 23 April 2026 to commemorate World Book Day. The event aimed to promote reading habits, enhance literary appreciation and develop students’ speaking and analytical skills.
In the final round, participants presented detailed book reviews supported by PowerPoint presentations. Each student spoke for 3-5 minutes, covering key aspects such as the theme, characters and personal interpretation of the text. The presentations reflected thoughtful reading, critical engagement and originality. Following each presentation, participants responded to a question posed by the adjudicator, testing their depth of understanding and spontaneity.
The event was judged on criteria including content and understanding, organisation, clarity of expression, presentation skills and the ability to respond effectively to questions. The participants displayed commendable confidence, creativity and insight.
Literary Lounge successfully fostered a deeper appreciation for literature while enhancing students’ public speaking, critical thinking and interpretative skills. The event concluded with the declaration of winners, celebrating the efforts and achievements of all participants.

Whispers of Canvas, an inter-class art competition, was conducted on 22 April 2026. The event aimed to provide students with a platform to express their creativity and imagination through visual art.
Participants created individual artworks on canvas, showcasing their unique ideas, perspectives and artistic skills. The competition witnessed a variety of themes, techniques and styles, reflecting originality and creativity. Students used colors, patterns and composition effectively to communicate their thoughts and emotions.
The event encouraged self-expression and allowed students to explore their artistic potential. Each artwork displayed attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
The competition was judged on originality, creativity, composition, use of colors and overall presentation. The participants demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication.

The Inter class yoga competition was conducted for classes III-V on 21st April, VI-VIII on 23rd April and IX-XII on 9th April 2026 with great enthusiasm. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, mental well-being and awareness of yoga among students. Participants exhibited not only the flexibility and strength but also concentration and calmness throughout their performance. The competition was conducted under the guidance of Yoga Teacher Ms. Amritanjali.
It was a wonderful opportunity for students to learn holistic well-being and understand the importance of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

CLASS VI-VIII

The “Trash to Treasure” Decoupage Activity for Class VIII was conducted successfully on 20-04-26. The activity aimed to promote creativity, sustainability, and awareness about reusing waste materials in an artistic way.

Students explored the technique of decoupage by transforming discarded items such as bottles, boxes, jars, and containers into beautifully decorated pieces. They used printed cutouts, tissues, and decorative papers along with paints and adhesives to create unique designs and give a new life to old objects.

Through this activity, students learned the importance of recycling and upcycling while enhancing their artistic skills. They demonstrated excellent creativity, patience, and attention to detail in their work.
The activity was both educational and engaging, encouraging environmental responsibility while fostering imagination and design skills among students.

The Nursery students actively participated in the Life Skill activity “Tiny Hands to Tidy Steps,” conducted on 15th April. The activity aimed to introduce young learners to the importance of cleanliness and responsibility in their everyday surroundings. Through simple and hands-on experiences, the children were guided to keep their classroom clean by arranging their belongings, picking up objects, and maintaining neatness. The tiny learners showed great enthusiasm while performing these tasks and enjoyed being little helpers. The activity helped in nurturing a sense of responsibility, independence, and awareness about maintaining a clean and healthy environment. It also encouraged the development of good habits from an early age in a fun and engaging manner. Overall, it was a joyful and meaningful experience for the children, and the activity was successfully conducted.

The “Rhythm of Fields” Baisakhi Dance Activity for Class IV was successfully conducted on 13th April 2026. The event celebrated the spirit of Baisakhi, showcasing the joy and vibrancy of the harvest festival. Students came dressed in beautiful traditional attire, adding color and enthusiasm to the celebration. Their energetic dance performances reflected confidence, coordination, and excitement.

The activity helped students connect with cultural traditions while expressing themselves through dance. It was a lively and memorable event, thoroughly enjoyed by all participants.

On 10th April 2026, the students of Class XI–XII (Biology) at Queen’s Valley School visited the CSIR–Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure and deepen their understanding of modern biological sciences, especially in genomics and integrative biology.

The session began with an expert talk by Dr. Arpan Parichha, who introduced the students to groundbreaking research on the development of mini brains in the laboratory. Dr. Parichha explained how these mini brains, or organoids, are cultivated to simulate human brain development, allowing researchers to study neurological diseases in a controlled setting. After this inspiring talk, students engaged in a guided visit to the institute, where they explored labs, observed researchers at work, and gained firsthand experience of scientific innovation.

The visit concluded on a truly inspiring note as students reflected on the incredible opportunities ahead. They marveled at how cutting-edge research—like the development of mini brains—could transform our understanding of the human brain. The day sparked a newfound passion for scientific inquiry, leaving students eager to explore their own potential in the vast, exciting world of biology.

The “Aureline” Textile Designing Activity for Class VI was conducted successfully on Wednesday, 8th April. The activity was organized in connection with the upcoming festival of Vaisakhi.

Students explored the traditional art of Phulkari design, creating vibrant and intricate patternsusing colours on checked sheets. They incorporated geometric patterns in Phulkari style, suchas diamonds, triangles, squares, and symmetrical motifs, reflecting the richness of this traditional embroidery art.

The activity helped students understand and appreciate Indian culture and textile traditions. They demonstrated great creativity, precision, and enthusiasm while designing their patterns.

The activity was both educational and enjoyable, enhancing students’ artistic expression, knowledge of geometric design, and cultural awareness.

The “Fit & Fab Fiesta” for Class V was conducted successfully on Tuesday, 7th April. The event focused on promoting physical fitness, energy, and active participation among students.

Students participated enthusiastically in various fun-filled activities while dressed in their house uniforms. The event encouraged teamwork, confidence, and a spirit of healthy competition.

The fiesta was vibrant and engaging, and students enjoyed every moment of the activities. It proved to be a refreshing and energetic experience for all.

The Bright Spaces Campaign for Class III was successfully conducted on Monday, 6th April,2026. The activity aimed to instill the importance of hygiene, responsibility, and cleanliness among students.

Students actively participated with great enthusiasm and brought cleaning materials as instructed. They worked together to clean and organize their classroom, making it neat and pleasant.

The activity helped students understand the value of maintaining a clean environment and encouraged habits of discipline and teamwork. It was a joyful and meaningful experience, and students thoroughly enjoyed contributing towards a clean and healthy classroom.

On 2nd April 2026, a career counselling session was held at Queens Valley School, Dwarka, focusing entirely on the Indian Army as a career option. The session was addressed by Lieutenant Colonel Pramod Dadhich an Armored Corps Officer , who shared his real-life experiences and gave students a deeper understanding of life in the armed forces. He spoke of the qualities required to join the Army, such as leadership, discipline, confidence, and the ability to take quick and responsible decisions.

He explained that the Indian Army is not just a job, but a way to serve the nation with pride and dedication. While discussing the Chetwode Motto, he made students realise the importance of putting the nation first, then the welfare of fellow soldiers, and finally one’s own safety. This helped everyone understand the seriousness of the role and the level of responsibility it carries, where even a single decision can have a major impact.

The session also highlighted the benefits of joining the Army, including good education, allowances, job security, promotions, foreign tours, and adequate leave. At the same time, he honestly spoke about the challenges and sacrifices involved in this career. Overall, the session was engaging, informative, and inspiring, leaving many students motivated to think about the Indian Army as a meaningful and honourable career path.
