STORY SESSION- THE NATIONAL BOOK TRUST

A Story Session Book was conducted on 28th April 2025 by The National Book Trust at Queen’s Valley School for the foundational stage learners. The session aimed at encouraging early literacy and love for reading through engaging storytelling. Children listened with rapt attention as stories were narrated using expressive voice, pictures, and props, making the experience lively and interactive. The little ones enthusiastically participated by predicting, answering questions, and sharing their thoughts. The session not only enriched their vocabulary and imagination but also built confidence and curiosity towards books, making it a joyful and meaningful learning experience.

    CARICATURE WORKSHOP-THE NATIONAL BOOK TRUST

    A Caricature Workshop was conducted on 28th April 2025 by The National Book Trust at Queen’s Valley School. The session introduced children to the art of caricature in a fun and engaging way, encouraging creativity and self-expression. The Resource person demonstrated simple techniques of sketching exaggerated features, which the young learners enthusiastically tried on their own. The workshop not only sparked imagination but also built observation skills and confidence, making it an enjoyable and enriching experience for the students.

      On 28th April 2025, Queen’s Valley School organized an exhilarating Inter-House Kho-Kho competition for students from classes III to XII. This event was held in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, emphasizing upon the importance of physical fitness, mental well-being, and teamwork.

      The competition was designed to foster qualities such as discipline, sportsmanship, and athletic skills, which were the primary criteria on which students were judged. Each house gave its best, with participants displaying exceptional energy, agility, and teamwork on the field. The students’ enthusiasm and commitment were evident as they showcased their ability to coordinate, adapt, and support their teammates, reflecting the core values of team spirit and resilience. The judges commended the enthusiastic participation of both students and teachers acknowledging their collective efforts in making the event a grand success.

        SPECIAL ASSEMBLY- Earth Day (V-D)

        On April 26, 2025, Class V-D presented a thought-provoking special assembly themed "The Magic of the Earth: A Promise to Protect," highlighting the importance of living in harmony with nature. The event focused on SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land, inspiring students to take responsibility for the planet's well-being.
         
        Through powerful performances, including a skit on pollution and deforestation, a soulful group song, and impactful speeches, the students conveyed the importance of environmental conservation. They also shared practical eco-friendly actions and took a heartfelt pledge to protect the Earth.
         
        The assembly promoted essential values such as responsibility, teamwork, empathy, and respect for nature, while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and public speaking skills. With parents in attendance, the event was a memorable success, inspiring students and parents alike to make a positive impact.
         
        This celebration reflected the school's commitment to nurturing environmentally conscious individuals, equipped to tackle modern ecological challenges. The assembly was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all present.

          Badminton unites millions, fostering community and national pride. It teaches teamwork, discipline, and strategic thinking while promoting fitness The Inter-House Badminton Competition at Queen’s Valley School took place Class VI-XII on 23th April, 2025 highlighting discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork. Aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, the event promoted physical fitness and mental well-being. The badminton match was a spirited contest between Peace House and Courage House and Truth House and Integrity House. Each house delivered outstanding performance, with students displaying agility, energy, and seamless coordination. Their commitment to hardwork and resilience was evident throughout the matches. After an intense first round, Truth House and Integrity House emerged as the finalists. The final match was set for 3 sets, with each house striving to score the highest score. Truth House demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, ultimately scoring the highest and claiming victory.
