Queen’s Valley School successfully conducted the Astronomy & STEM Education Programme throughout the academic year 2025–26. The programme comprised structured, grade-wise sessions for Grades I–IX, focusing on Space Science and Astronomy through interactive discussions, multimedia learning, experiments, model-making, and hands-on telescope activities.
Students explored key concepts such as phases of the Moon, constellations, layers of the Earth, latitudes and longitudes, telescopes, solar observation, scaling of the Solar System, parallax, and basics of astrophotography. Planetarium shows further enriched their understanding of deep sky objects and future space exploration. The sessions emphasized observation skills, scientific reasoning, creativity, teamwork, and practical application of concepts.
The programme concluded with engaging planetarium experiences and hands-on demonstrations, where students showcased their understanding through activities and interactive discussions.
The academic year activities ended with the Astrnomy Day celebration on 11th February 2026 with immense enthusiasm and curiosity, transforming the campus into a vibrant hub of space exploration and scientific discovery.
In conclusion, the Astronomy & STEM Education Programme proved highly impactful, nurturing curiosity, analytical thinking, scientific awareness, and a sustained interest in space and STEM learning among students.
