FESTIVAL HUES –Rangoli Making (XI & XII)

Rangoli — where colours speak the language of our heritage and hearts unite in creativity.
An Inter-House Rangoli Making Competition was organized by Queen’s Valley School on 15th October 2025 for students of Classes XI and XII to celebrate the festival of Diwali. The event aimed to promote creativity, teamwork, and cultural appreciation among students while encouraging the use of eco-friendly materials.
The theme of the competition, “Diwali – The Festival of Lights,” inspired participants to create artistic designs symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness. Students used natural and sustainable materials such as coloured powders, flower petals, diyas, and mirrors to create intricate and vibrant patterns. Each house displayed exceptional talent and originality in their designs, reflecting the beauty and diversity of Indian art forms.
The entries were judged on creativity, relevance to theme, design intricacy, neatness, and overall presentation. All participants demonstrated great enthusiasm, artistic skill, and team spirit throughout the event. The judges commended the students for their innovation and thoughtful interpretation of the theme.
The competition infused the school campus with a festive atmosphere, spreading joy and the true spirit of Diwali. It provided students with an opportunity to explore traditional art while embracing sustainable practices. The event successfully upheld the school’s commitment to nurturing creativity and cultural awareness among its students.

Bal Ramayan Presentation by Class VI

The students of Class VI presented a well-coordinated and devotional enactment of the Bal Ramayan in the Cultural Hall from 15th-17th October. The programme sought to highlight the timeless values embodied in the life of Lord Ram through a series of significant episodes. The assembly presented key episodes from the Ramayana: the joyous Ram Vivah portraying the grandeur of Mithila and Ayodhya; the poignant Ram Vanvas depicting exile, sacrifice, and family bonds; the intense Sita Haran showing courage and deceit; the spirited Sundarkand with Hanuman’s leap to Lanka, meeting Sita, and the burning of Lanka; and the triumphant Ravan Vadh celebrating Lord Ram’s victory of righteousness over evil. The Bal Ramayan presentation by Class VI was a memorable and enriching experience for all present. It successfully combined cultural learning with moral instruction, leaving the audience inspired to uphold the values of integrity, compassion, and service in their own lives.
