QVS Hosts Student Council Leadership Camp 2025

On 2nd August 2025, Queen’s Valley School conducted a vibrant and purposeful Student Council Leadership Camp for the Student Council Members of Classes XI and XII. Centred around the theme “Lead with Purpose, Serve with Pride,” the day-long event was thoughtfully curated to empower students with practical leadership experience.

The camp commenced with a motivating address by Principal Ms. Ambika Roshan, who inspired students to lead with responsibility, empathy, and vision. Her words set the tone for the day, encouraging the council members to serve as role models in both thought and action. The camp featured a series of engaging collaborative challenges such as the ‘Paper Bridge Challenge’, ‘Balloon Tower’, ‘Pass the Message – With a Twis’t, and ‘Tower of Values’. Each activity encouraged communication, critical thinking, value-based decision-making, and teamwork. A rejuvenating session on yoga and mindfulness added balance to the day, reinforcing the importance of inner calm in leadership.

Students explored real-life school leadership scenarios through role plays, designed and presented a monthly inter-house event calendar, and participated in a blindfold obstacle course to build trust and coordination. The day concluded with the Leadership Tree of Learning, where participants shared key reflections and personal takeaways.

The camp proved to be a meaningful step in shaping confident, future-ready leaders, echoing Queen’s Valley School’s unwavering commitment to character-building and student empowerment.

    – Erin Reese
In an effort to uphold and celebrate our rich cultural heritage, Queen’s Valley School organized an Inter Class competition on August 1st, 2025, welcoming participation from students of class VI. The aim of this vibrant event was to encourage students to explore the unique cultural identity of different Indian states and express it creatively through catchy jingles.

This initiative was aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, as it highlighted the rich diversity and unity of various states, promoting respect and inclusivity among students. Each student represented a specific state and showcased their creativity through rhythmic, informative, and engaging jingles. The event concluded with applause and positive feedback from the judges. Through this competition, students enhanced essential 21st-century skills such as creativity, communication, and collaboration.

In conclusion, “वतन के रंग” was a meaningful experience that not only celebrated India’s unity in diversity but also instilled a deep sense of patriotism and respect for all cultures.
