Swachhata Abhiyan at Queen’s Valley School
As members of the Eco Club of Queens Valley School, we actively participated in the cleanliness campaign “दिल्ली को कूड़े से आज़ादी–स्वच्छता अभियान” organised across Delhi from 1st to 31st August, 2025.
Our school identified the park adjacent to the school premises as the spot for the “Each One Clean One” activity. Primary students carried out cleanliness drives within the school campus, while senior students, guided by teachers and staff, took responsibility for cleaning the nearby park.
During the campaign, we removed garbage, segregated waste into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories, and encouraged local residents to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. Placards and slogans were also used to spread awareness about hygiene and waste management.
Before and after photographs of the identified spot were taken and recorded as instructed. The transformation was remarkable and motivated everyone to adopt cleanliness as a regular habit.
This initiative not only improved the environment around our school but also instilled in us the values of responsibility, teamwork, and community service. As Eco Club members, we feel proud to have contributed towards making Delhi cleaner and greener.

A country can never flourish if it deprives itself of the contributions of half of its citizens. When girls are educated, their countries become prosperous.
On 30th August 2025, the students of Class VIII C and VIII E presented a special assembly under SDG 5 (Gender Equality) on Women Empowerment. Through heartfelt performances, including skits, enactments, poetry and dance, the students depicted the struggles and challenges faced by women, highlighting how they overcame them and emerged empowered.

It was an enriching experience, as it deepened our understanding of women’s role in shaping a better world and encouraged us to carry forward the values of compassion, equality and humanity in our daily lives.

“A leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.”
              -John C. Maxwell

The Student Council of Queen’s Valley School organised a Leadership Camp for the Prefects of classes VI–VIII on 22 August 2025 and IX–XII on 27 August 2025 under the theme, “Lead with Purpose, Serve with Pride.” The camp aimed to nurture essential leadership qualities such as communication, empathy, adaptability, and resilience among young learners.
Prior to this, a separate camp had been conducted exclusively for the Student Council members, equipping them with skills and strategies to design and facilitate activities effectively. This prior training enabled them to successfully lead the sessions for the Prefectorial Board, making the camp student-driven in its true spirit.
The day commenced with an icebreaker, “This or That,” which set an energetic tone by encouraging students to open up and interact freely. This was followed by a series of thoughtfully designed activities that fostered confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving in engaging ways. Games like “Guess the Value,” “Leader Among Us,” “Catch Me Up,” “Stick & Roll” and “Build a Tower” inculcated creativity, collaboration, and collective decision-making, while “Whisper Your Task” and “Pass the Compliment” tested their listening skills, memor, and clarity of communication.
Throughout the camp, laughter, learning, and teamwork went hand in hand. The highlight of the day was the Leadership Tree of Learning, where participants shared their key reflections and personal takeaways. Each contribution symbolised a leaf on the tree, collectively representing growth, shared wisdom and the spirit of leadership.
The camp concluded on an inspiring note, reinforcing that leadership is not about holding positions, but about helping others, adapting to challenges, and inspiring those around us. By the end, the camp had successfully ignited the leadership spark among the students.

A flag is not just a piece of cloth; it is the soul of a nation.

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inspires citizens to bring the Tricolour home, making it both a personal symbol of pride and a collective commitment to nation-building.
Queens' Valley School observed this campaign from 2nd to 15th August 2025 with full enthusiasm and love for the country. Students carried the Tiranga, decorated classrooms, and participated in various group activities, collectively turning the classrooms and corridors into a vibrant sea of saffron, white, and green. The campaign not only strengthened the bond of students with the National Flag but also left them with a renewed sense of unity, pride, and responsibility towards the nation.
The spirit of patriotism further heightened on 14th August, when the school celebrated Independence Day with grandeur. The managing committee was warmly welcomed, and the National Flag was unfurled with due honour, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Students presented captivating performances in dance, music, and gymnastics, each reflecting the joy of freedom. A special drama staged by the students portrayed the sacrifices of great freedom fighters and their role in nation-building, leaving the audience deeply moved. The day concluded on a high note, reminding everyone of the precious legacy of independence and the duty to uphold it.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY Andher Nagri (IV B & D)

On 8th August 2025, the students of Classes 4B and 4D conducted a thought-provoking assembly on the theme “Andher Nagri.” The presentation aimed to highlight the importance of being content with oneself while remaining motivated to grow and improve.

Through engaging humour and storytelling, the students effectively conveyed that self-contentment and inner motivation are essential for leading a balanced and joyful life. The play also delivered a strong moral message: one should refrain from acting impulsively or unwisely, and instead approach every situation with sensibility, thoughtfulness, and integrity, while avoiding the pitfalls of greed.

The assembly concluded with an inspiring motivational song, followed by a short address by the Principal. Educational Visit to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi
On 4th August 2025, the students of Class XI Humanities from Queen’s Valley School visited the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi, as part of an educational field trip organised by the Geography Department under the guidance of Ms. Pooja Yadav and Ms. Ruby Tiwari. The objective of the visit was to gain practical exposure to meteorological and climatic concepts covered in the Geography curriculum. The experience proved to be both informative and enriching. The visit began with a tour of the Water and Hydromet Division, where the students learned how data on rainfall and river flow is collected and utilised for flood forecasting and water resource management. Then proceeded to the Ozone Monitoring Section, where they were introduced to the methods used for monitoring the ozone layer and studying the effects of ultraviolet radiation on the environment. The next stop was the Satellite Division, where the students observed how satellite imagery is used to track weather patterns and climatic changes across the country. Finally, they visited the main Meteorological. This visit helped us bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its real-world application, while developing essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, data analysis, collaboration, and communication, and deepening our understanding of how accurate weather data supports sustainable development goals like Climate Action (SDG 13), Zero Hunger (SDG 2) and Sustainable Cities (SDG 11).The students extend their sincere gratitude to the IMD officials for their detailed explanations and hospitality, and the school for organising such a meaningful and insightful experience that deepened students’ understanding of environmental sciences and global sustainability challenges.

Centred around the theme “Lead with Purpose, Serve with Pride,” the day-long event was thoughtfully curated to empower students with practical leadership experience.

The camp commenced with a motivating address by Principal Ms. Ambika Roshan, who inspired students to lead with responsibility, empathy, and vision. Her words set the tone for the day, encouraging the council members to serve as role models in both thought and action. The camp featured a series of engaging collaborative challenges such as the ‘Paper Bridge Challenge’, ‘Balloon Tower’, ‘Pass the Message – With a Twis’t, and ‘Tower of Values’.
