STEM FOR SUSTAINABILITY: Inter-Class Competition was organised on 31st July 2026 for the students of Class IX. Based on Sustainable Development Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, the competition encouraged students to promote the importance of responsible use of resources, waste reduction, and sustainable living through original 5–7 minute scripts integrating Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

The participants presented creative and thought-provoking skits that highlighted innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Their confident performances, effective use of props, and meaningful messages reflected their awareness of sustainability and the need to protect our planet.

The competition provided students with an excellent opportunity to enhance their communication, creativity, and presentation skills while deepening their understanding of SDG 12. Overall, the event was a great success, inspiring everyone to adopt sustainable practices and contribute towards a greener future.

As part of the school's experiential learning programme, the students of QVS visited I Dig History at Ambience Mall, Gurugram. Students of Classes I and II visited the centre from 13 to 17 July 2026, while students of Class III visited on 28 and 29 July 2026, with different sections attending on different days. The educational excursion aimed to provide students with an immersive learning experience where they could explore history beyond the classroom through engaging, hands-on activities and interactive exhibits.The visit began with an exploration of fascinating exhibits that introduced students to the world of archaeology and ancient civilizations. The young learners enthusiastically participated in archaeological activities, interactive games, role-play sessions, and team-based challenges. Through these experiences, they discovered how historians and archaeologists uncover stories of the past using artefacts and excavations, making history meaningful, enjoyable, and easy to understand.
The excursion concluded on an inspiring note as students reflected on their discoveries and the importance of preserving our rich cultural heritage. The experiential learning environment nurtured curiosity, observation, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills while helping students connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. The visit left every child motivated to ask questions, appreciate history, and continue exploring the fascinating stories of our past.

The Foundational Stage celebrated World Conservation Day with great enthusiasm through a variety of engaging activities on 28th July 2026. The Nursery students created an anthill to highlight that the Earth is home not only to humans but also to animals. The Pre-Primary students spread awareness by raising slogans such as "Save Water" and "Save Electricity." Class I students participated in a Plantation Drive by reusing waste plastic bottles as planters, while Class II presented a special assembly on the importance of conserving nature.

The celebration inspired young learners to care for the environment and contribute towards a greener future.

The Nursery classes celebrated Red and Yellow Colour Day with great enthusiasm and excitement on 6th July and 28th July 2026. The Little Queens came beautifully dressed in vibrant shades of red and yellow, adding a splash of colour and cheer to the day.The Queens actively participated in a variety of fun-filled, colour-themed activities, including paper tearing and pasting, colouring, and drawing. These engaging, hands-on experiences helped them recognise and appreciate the colours while enhancing their creativity and fine motor skills. The celebration was filled with laughter, learning, and joyful participation, making it a colourful and memorable experience for our Little Queens.

Queen’s Valley School organised an informative workshop on ‘Financial Literacy’ for the students of Class XII on 28 July, 2026 to equip them with essential financial knowledge and practical money management skills. The session was conducted by Mr. Jyotiraditya Ganguly, an investment professional and finance mentor with experience in portfolio management and financial education.

The workshop focused on the importance of making informed financial decisions from an early age. Students gained valuable insights into money management and budgeting, saving habits and financial discipline, the functioning of banking systems and financial instruments, the basics of investing, risk and return, and real-life financial decision-making and planning. The speaker explained these concepts through relatable examples, making the session engaging and easy to understand. Students actively participated by asking questions and discussing everyday financial situations.

The workshop proved to be highly beneficial as it encouraged students to become financially aware and responsible. It highlighted the significance of planning finances wisely and making informed choices for a secure future.

The workshop concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to the resource person for sharing his valuable knowledge and inspiring students to build a strong foundation in financial literacy.

To celebrate the spirit of patriotism and promote the values of peace, unity, and harmony, Queen’s Valley School organized a Patriotic Group Dance Competition – “India Unbound” for the students of Class IV on 27th July 2026. The event was conducted under SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, emphasizing the importance of responsible citizenship and national unity.

The competition showcased energetic and well-coordinated group dance performances on patriotic songs. Dressed in vibrant tricolor-themed costumes, the students expressed their love and respect for the nation through captivating choreography, synchronized movements, and expressive performances. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and confidence created an atmosphere filled with pride and patriotism.

The judges appreciated the participants for their creativity, coordination, expressions, and stage presence. Every performance beautifully conveyed the message of unity in diversity, courage, sacrifice, and devotion towards the nation.

The event concluded with the announcement of the winners and words of appreciation for all the participants. The competition was a grand success, inspiring students to cherish the values of patriotism, peace, and national integrity while fostering teamwork and cultural appreciation.

Queen’s Valley School proudly celebrated the Senior and Junior Investiture Ceremonies on 24 July 2026, marking the formal induction of the newly elected Student Councils for the academic session 2026–27. The day witnessed the spirit of leadership, responsibility and service among students.

The programme commenced with the dignitaries being ceremonially escorted by the NCC cadets, followed by a soulful Saraswati and Ganesh Vandana presented by the school choir. The graceful opening created an aura of serenity and pride amongst all. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Revered Ms. Uma Bansal, whose constant guidance and visionary support continue to inspire the Queen's Valley School family in nurturing the future world leaders.

Addressing the gathering, Officiating Principal Ms. Pooja Sharma inspired the newly elected council members with her words on the true essence of leadership. She encouraged them to lead with sincerity, humility and compassion, reminding them that true leaders serve with dedication, uphold the values of the school and inspire others through their actions. Dignitaries conferred badges upon the student leaders, formally entrusting them with their responsibilities. During the oath taking ceremony, the council members pledged to uphold the school's values and traditions while carrying out their duties with honesty, dedication and integrity.

The newly elected Head Girl, Aahuti, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the trust reposed in the council. She assured that the council will work collaboratively with commitment and empathy to foster a positive, inclusive and vibrant learning environment. The day concluded on a note of pride and optimism, celebrating a new generation of responsible young leaders ready to uphold the school's motto, "Have Dreams, Have Faith, Have Hope!", and contribute meaningfully to the Queen's Valley School community.

The Nursery Little Queens enthusiastically participated in the "My World, My Words" Show and Tell Activity on the theme "My Family", conducted on 23rd July 2026.

The Little Queens brought their family photographs and confidently spoke a few simple sentences about their loved ones. It was truly a heartwarming sight to witness the sparkle in their eyes as they proudly introduced their families. Their innocent expressions, confidence, and joyful smiles made the activity a memorable experience for everyone.

The activity not only strengthened their speaking and communication skills but also nurtured their confidence and deepened their emotional bond with their families.

To celebrate World Conservation Day, the Foundational Stage of Queen's Valley School organised an Eco Fashion Parade on 20th July 2026 under the theme "Conserving Today for a Greener Tomorrow." Students of Class II confidently showcased creative costumes made from recycled and eco-friendly materials.

Through their walk and short presentations, they spread the message of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle while encouraging everyone to protect the environment. The event was a wonderful blend of creativity, confidence, and environmental awareness, inspiring all to work towards a greener future.

The "Little Strokes, Big Ideas" Computer Competition was successfully conducted at Queen's Valley School on 17-07-2026 for the students of Class III in the Computer Lab under SDG-4: Quality Education.

The competition encouraged students to showcase their creativity using Tux Paint by creating colourful digital artworks. With great enthusiasm, students explored various drawing tools and expressed their ideas imaginatively while enhancing their computer skills.

The event was both educational and enjoyable, helping students develop creativity, digital literacy, and confidence in using technology.

Lingua Fest: French Cultural Show for Class VIII was organised on 14th July 2026 to commemorate Bastille Day. Participants presented a two-minute first-person portrayal of a renowned French personality, highlighting their life, achievements, and contributions to France and the world. The event aimed to foster creativity, confidence, and a deeper appreciation of French history, language, and culture.

Students delivered impressive performances by incorporating expressive acting, costumes and detailed props. Several participants further enriched their presentations with musical performances and cultural elements, making their portrayals engaging and memorable. Their confident stage presence and effective use of voice modulation brought historical personalities to life and captivated the audience.

The competition provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their communication, presentation, and performance skills while deepening their understanding of French culture. Overall, the event was a remarkable showcase of talent, creativity, and cultural learning, leaving both the audience and judges thoroughly impressed.

On July 14th, 2026, a workshop was held at Queen’s Valley School, Dwarka, focusing on profile building for college admissions and career development. The session was addressed by Mr. Harsh Wadhwa, a college admissions coach, who explained the need for profile building and elaborated on how students could begin developing a strong profile during their school years. He spoke about the various aspects of building a holistic profile, including academics, extracurricular and co-curricular activities, social contribution, and leadership roles.

He explained that profile building is not just an additional pursuit but a necessity in today’s competitive world. Using various examples, he demonstrated how universities and employers seek more than just academic qualifications, but a diverse range of skills, achievements and experiences in different categories as metrics for aptitude. This helped everyone understand the importance of profile building and the opportunities it creates, where even an average student with a well-rounded profile may be preferred over a top scorer with no additional skills or interests.

The session concluded by providing practical guidance on building a good profile as a beginner, including networking, participating in competitions, volunteering, pursuing internships, and updating oneself with current affairs by reading newspapers. Overall, the session was informative and engaging, leaving many students motivated to begin building their profiles with consistency and purpose.

AI is not about replacing teachers, it is about empowering them to teach better.

In a step towards future-ready classrooms, seven teachers from different departments of Queen's Valley School participated in an enriching workshop titled ‘Shaping the Future of Learning’ on Artificial Intelligence at the American Centre from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM on July 11th, 2026.

The session began with a welcome and an insightful discussion on the evolution of India’s education system, its global standing including the PISA rankings, and the growing role of AI in classrooms.

The main focus was hands-on training on Google’s tool ‘NotebookLM’. Teachers explored how to use AI to create videos, animations, and interactive activities based on subject-specific topics and chapters. Each teacher planned and presented one AI-based activity on NotebookLM and showcased creative animated outputs. The workshop was truly engaging. Teachers participated with great enthusiasm and learned practical ways to integrate AI into teaching-learning.

Such workshops will greatly benefit educators in making lessons more innovative and student-centric in the future.

The "Jingle and Giggle" Rhyme Activity was organised with great enthusiasm for the Pre-Primary students on 10th July 2026, during which the Little Queens confidently recited English rhymes with expressive actions and cheerful smiles.

As announced for the event, the children came dressed in attractive costumes related to their chosen rhymes and carried creative props that made each presentation lively and engaging.

The vibrant decorations and beautifully arranged setup added to the festive atmosphere, making the event even more special. It was a delight to listen to the wonderful rhyme recitations and witness the confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm of our young performers.

The activity was truly a joyful and memorable learning experience for everyone.

An offline teachers' training workshop was conducted by GO Sharpener on Saturday, 4 July 2026 in the Cultural Hall, Queen's Valley School. The session was facilitated by the resource person, Ms. Shivani.

The 40-minute training session focused on the July–September Monthly Toolkit, providing teachers with a comprehensive understanding of its implementation in the classroom.

During the session, Ms. Shivani explained the objectives and execution of the planned activities, enabling teachers to integrate them effectively into their academic schedule. The interactive nature of the workshop also allowed teachers to seek clarifications regarding various toolkit activities and their implementation.

The training proved to be informative and insightful, equipping teachers with the necessary guidance to execute the monthly toolkit efficiently while ensuring meaningful implementation of CBSE's experiential and skill-based learning initiatives.
