The World Health Organization and global partners observe 31st May every year as the World No Tobacco Day. This annual event is an opportunity to raise awareness on harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and second-hand smoke exposure, and to discourage the use of tobacco in any form. This year's theme, “Protecting Children from Tobacco Industry Interference,” underscores the urgent need to shield youth from the detrimental influences of tobacco consumption.

As part of the ongoing World No Tobacco Day campaign, the school, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and State Tobacco Control Cell, organised an Awareness Campaign aimed at motivating the youth for the anti-tobacco campaign.

An online awareness session was organised on 20 th June 2024, to raise awareness among the students regarding tobacco and its harmful effects. The event helped in raising awareness about the health hazards of tobacco consumption through a presentation. Students of class X participated in the campaign to spread awareness about the dangers of using tobacco by making e-posters and charts. Towards the end of the session all the students of class X took an e-pledge against the use of tobacco in any form and to protect the environment around from the use of tobacco. The online session instilled a sense of responsibility and awareness in the students regarding the dangers of smoking and other tobacco products and to motivate the people around against tobacco consumption.
